If fast growth is any indicator, then Heritage Valley is quickly becoming Edmonton’s hottest residential area. Recent infrastructure announcements for the area have been a new hospital and a high school, but the most exciting growth in Edmonton’s southwest is the Heritage Valley Town Centre!
Heritage Valley Town Centre will be the dominant shopping centre in the area servicing over 100,000 residents in Heritage Valley and a trade area of over 200,000 people. It is planned to be over 300,000 square feet in size, and will cover a whopping total of 26 acres!
The shopping area has seen big changes lately and is already bustling with activity. Current stores include a brand new Shoppers Drug Mart, Superstore, a Liquor Store, Edo Japan, and more tenants are being announced regularly.
No Shortage of Exciting Stores!
Future confirmed tenants include the following restaurants:
- Little Caesars
- Bar Burrito
- Domino’s Pizza
There is no shortage of retail space, and we will soon see the opening of a Bell store, Q-Nails, Core Dental Group, and a physical therapy clinic.
Do you have a dog?
You’ll be able to walk them to the new Bone & Biscuit location, right beside the brand new Starbucks!
Are you an avid reader, or looking for a quiet place to get some work done?
They are also putting the finishing touches on a brand new Edmonton Public Library location, which is expected to open in the spring of 2018.
The Heritage Valley Town Centre is located on James Mowatt Trail north of 30th Avenue SW, just a few blocks northwest of Allard. It is quickly accessible by foot, bike, bus (take Route 47 north!), car, or by piggyback if you’re lucky enough to find someone to carry you. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk there from the west Allard entrance, and is reachable by car in a matter of minutes.
Did Somebody Say LRT?
This location is a future LRT station location, which means that it will become a hub of activity for people coming from all over the city to the Heritage Valley area!
We can’t wait to see what other shops will be announced soon, and will keep you updated as we hear more!
